Els alumnes guanyadors competien amb 60 escoles. L’AMPA del Cor de Maria aquest any ha ofert tallers de robòtica en extraescolars. Enhorabona per aquest primer premi!!!

Presentació del llibre iStage 3 “Football in Science Teaching”, a Brussel·les, el resultat de 18 mesos de treball amb 20 professors europeus de 15 paisos. El professor Pere Compte i alumnes de 4t d’ESO del Cor de Maria han treballat en aquest llibre.

How do you calculate the perfect flight curve of a football? What type of grass is used at football grounds and why? And how big is the environmental impact of football events like the European Football Championship?
Football offers a great variety of questions and issues for your STEM classes: 20 teachers from 15 European countries developed twelve teaching units, presenting interesting experiments around football for biology, chemistry, computer sciences, maths and physics. From the measurement of the mass of the air inside the ball, to the influence of energy drinks on the performance of the players up to calculating the chance of scoring during a penalty shoot-out the brochure contains a broad spectrum of interdisciplinary challenges for secondary school students. The various teaching units encourage them to discover the natural scientific phenomena behind the popular game.
The brochure was supported by SAP and is the third volume of the ‘iStage’-series, following ‚iStage 1 – Information and Communications Technology (ICT) in Science Teaching’ and ‚iStage 2 – Smartphones in Science Teaching‘. The release of the brochure coincides with the beginning of the European Football Championship in France and the brochure can be ordered free of charge in English and German as print publication (info@science-on-stage.de) or downloaded as PDF from 2 June 2016.

L’ALUMNAT DE 4t DE PRIMÀRIA VISITA LA COMISSARIA DELS MOSSOS D’ESQUADRA DE VALLS.
Dijous 26 de maig, l’alumnat de 4t, vam anar a visitar les dependències de la Comissaria dels Mossos d’Esquadra de la nostra ciutat. Ens va agradar moltíssim aquesta sortida.
Aprofitem, des de l’escola, per agrair a tots els Mossos la seva gran tasca.

TROBADA D’ESCOLES VERDES DE PRIMÀRIA A TORREDEMBARRA
El fil conductor de la Trobada d’Intercanvi va ser la participació en el centre educatiu, on es va promoure la participació activa de tota la comunitat educativa —mestres, alumnes, famílies, AMPA, PAS— com a eina per educar als alumnes per fer-los ciutadans capaços de transformar la societat, donar resposta als actuals i futurs reptes ambientals, fent-los crítics, actius, compromesos i participatius.
El Cor de Maria va participar juntament amb 90 alumnes i professors d’escoles verdes del Tarragonès i l’Alt Camp que van participar a eixamplar l’espai dunar per a protegir la platja, els corriols camanegre i les dunes dels Muntanyans de Torredembarra. Un gran dia d’aprenentatge!!
